The Team
Paul Spencer – Chairman
After a career in property sales and surveying, Paul joined London Ebor Developments in September 2005 as Managing Director, sourcing new development sites for residential housing and managing their development, from acquisition through the build stages, to the final completion and sale of the properties.
In addition Paul has looked after the managing of the company’s portfolio of properties and provided surveying services and rent review administration.
Duncan Brown – Managing Director
Duncan heads our London office, acquiring and developing sites in prime west and south west London locations. Having lived in west London since 2000 he has a good understanding of the London market and aims to satisfy all a buyer’s requirements in a London home. He has built a personal relationship with many agents and continues to find new and exciting development opportunities.
Fred Brown – Founder and Board Member
Fred founded London Ebor Developments in 1988 and was soon joined by the estates team from his retail drugstore business, which had been sold some months before.
Initially high street retail properties were developed but within 10 years the company had expanded into commercial and residential. Experience was gained restoring heritage commercial buildings into apartments and houses before moving into new build schemes.
Quality workmanship has always been key to the London Ebor success story which never depended on short term changes to the housing market.
Still a York based family business but now with London offices and development portfolio there, Fred stepped down as chairman in January 2013, but remains a director, with a keen interest in maintaining the tradition of top quality design and build.
Trevor Negus – Board Member
Trevor’s background is in Investment Banking, specifically risk management. He now works in software development, building risk management systems.
He carried out a complete renovation of his own London home in 2007, which gave Trevor his interest in property development.
He has been a non-executive director of London Ebor since 2009, and became Chairman in January 2013. Trevor is always on the look-out for new property opportunities, both in London and Sussex, where he is now located.
